Joshua J. Krull

Born in 1993 in Hagen, Joshua J. Krull spent his early years in Mexico, growing up between two cultures. After graduating from high school in 2011, he gained experience as a production assistant on Libertador – The Liberator(WMG Film GmbH). In 2014, he produced the short film The Heavy Load, starring Gary Lewis.

From 2014 to 2017, he studied directing at Septima Ars in Madrid, where he worked on several films, including The Sands of Summers Past (2017), shot in the UK. At the same time, he worked as a commercial director for imagis Filmproduktion and directed the master’s graduation film Psykhe at Film University Babelsberg in 2019.

In 2022, he directed and co-produced the Latin American series pilot Ni Tan Raro. Since 2020, he has been a partner at imagis, becoming Head of Fiction in 2024. In 2023, he completed the “Film Production Management” certificate program (Erich Pommer Institute & Film University Babelsberg) with top marks (1.3).

Joshua Krull is a member of the German Directors Association (BVR) and the German Producers Association (BVP).
