Beton unfolds the story of 15-year-old Kanada, living on the gritty streets of Frankfurt am Main in 2021. Together with a group of fellow street kids known as the Street Tribe, she battles to survive day by day. When the terrified 12-year-old Tears joins the tribe, Kanada takes it upon herself to rescue her from the streets and secure a new, safe home. Kanada has buried any hope of reclaiming such a life. But with Tears appearance, her dream flares up again, of one day being reunited with her father in the Canadian wilderness.
